We wouldn’t have all these fantastic local MTB trails without the support of our tough and committed members! Together, we have made a mountain of difference in the local mountain biking scene by planning and building the trails ridden regularly by thousands of riders in Sacramento, Roseville, Folsom, Auburn and the surrounding areas. We’ve accomplished a lot, but there is more work to do. Join us so we can build more trails, open more trails and maintain more trails for mountain bikers!!!

Benefits of Being a Member

More trails. Great trails. More rides. More friends. More great experiences.

Be part of the mountain bike movement that builds and protects great mountain biking experiences.

FATRAC will continue its long tradition of building and maintaining trails like Darrington (aka Salmon Falls) and Sweetwater in El Dorado Hills, the Granite Bay trail network, the Foresthill Divide Loop, Culvert and Connector Trails near Auburn.

You may have ridden these trails, and perhaps you helped maintain and improve them too.  If so, we thank you for your efforts.  These trails are now so popular that they are becoming overcrowded.   Recognizing this problem, FATRAC developed a strong partnership with Placer County Parks and, with support and grants from REI, the club helped construct 28 new miles of trails at Hidden Falls Regional Park in North Auburn. We also helped construct the fantastic new Auburn Bike Park.

FATRAC continues to work with energetic trail-advocates, local bike shops and land managers, like the Placer Land Trust, to create more singletrack beyond Hidden Falls, to realize new adventure riding activities in the middle-elevation zones near Foresthill, and to seize new trail opportunities when they arise.  We partner with MTB organizations in the Tahoe and Nevada City areas for even more amazing riding options. And with our status as a IMBA-affliated club, your membership supports incredible trails world wide and ensures the long term and recognized voice that IMBA brings to the table will be maintained. In addition, IMBA and FATRAC both recognize the incredible value of having a regional organization such as CAMTB that focuses purely on California based advocacy issues.  As such, FATRAC now redirects a portion of your membership dollars to the California-centric CAMTB instead of IMBA.

IMBA, the International Mountain Bike Association,in partnership with local organizations such as FATRAC, educates land managers and community leaders, galvanizes the volunteer community, strengthens local mountain bike groups and provides expertise on the creation of new trails.

When you join FATRAC through IMBA, you get IMBA Member benefits including:
- Member pricing on BikeInsure coverage for bicycles and eBikes.
- Free digital subscription to Mountain Bike Action magazine, delivered to your inbox.
- A discount on a new Subaru via our VIP Program.
